June Pace Obituary

June Colleen Pace, affectionately known as "Junie Colleena", was born to Christine and Maso Benjamin on September 20, 1968, in Rochester, New York. June and her mother relocated to Florida where she received her education through the Baker County Public School system, graduating from Baker County High School. June worked briefly as a nursing assistant at the Northeast Florida State Hospital of Macclenny, FL, Tanglewood Nursing Home of Lake City, FL, and Shand's Health of Jacksonville, FL.
June was blessed with two handsome sons, Joshua, and Trenton Benjamin. She met and later married the love of her life, Emory L. Pace, who preceded her in death in 2012. June was known for her anointed voice, which she often used to praise her Lord and Savior. June enjoyed singing with William Lee and True Praise Choir, as well as in her church home choir at Faith Bible Church of Sanderson, FL. June had a smile that would light up a room wherever she went and an affectionate laughter that made you laugh when cracking (joking). She enjoyed being alone in quiet time, with her Bible. She had a heart of gold and loved to be a blessing to whomever she encountered. Throughout June's life, many people were touched by her earthly presence, and she will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
On April 22, 2025, June sang her last song on this side of heaven when her heavenly Father called her home to sing in His heavenly choir. June was preceded in death by her mother, Christine J. Smith; Father(s) Maso Benjamin and Deacon Willie Smith; and husband, Emory Pace.
She leaves to cherish her legacy of love: sons, Joshua Benjamin and Trenton Benjamin; sisters, Denise Church (Geroid) and Barbara Robinson; brothers, Michael Smith and Lee Ward; nieces, Kashanda Smith, K'mariyon White, and Jovi Smith; nephews, Kentrez Smith (Becky), Rashaad Church, and Jacorey Smith; special friends and caregivers, Denisha McCray, Jean McCray, William Lee, Calandra Clayton, Rhonda Clayton, Renita Givens, Lavara Hughes, Rosalyn Dean, Linda Ruise, Gail Haygood, Theola McCray, Altamese Boynton, Linda Jefferson, Shawn Coleman, and many more friends and family who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of June's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Faith Bible Church, 15902 US Highway 90, Sanderson, FL, Videll Williams, Sr., Pastor.
