Virginia Little Obituary

Virginia Rose Amerson Little, 92, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Solaris Health Care in Lake City, FL. Virginia was born in Columbia County, Florida to the late Samuel Everette Amerson and Essie Mae King Amerson. She was a member of the First Advent Christian Church in Lake City, FL. She enjoyed her daily Bible readings and dearly loved Jesus Christ, her family and friends. She retired from General Electric/Gates Energy Products in 1993 with 25 years of service. While she was living, she treasured each and every phone call, card, visit, flowers and dinners. And was tremendously blessed by the staff and many friends she made at Solaris Health Care in Lake City, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Haven Hospice.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years, Woodrow Little; son, Lowell Wayne Little; sister Nancy (Johnny) Privette; brother Broward (Sophie) Amerson; and brother Thomas (Mary) Amerson. Survivors include daughters, Shirley (Robert) Williams and Rose (Lyle) Sluik; grandchildren, David Leslie, Robert Bruce Charles, Jr., Christopher (Renee) Williams and Katherine Williams; Great Grandchildren, Hailey Leslie, Robert Leslie, Taylor (Tyler) Bethea, Marie (Miguel) Herrera, and Joseph (Shyann) Ijames; Six Great-Great Grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Arnold officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service on beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 South US Hwy 441, Lake City, Florida (386) 752-1954.
