Rita Bender, 64, of Irons Michigan passed away August 22, 2022. Visitation and a Funeral Service will be held at The Bender Farm, 5256 N Hamilton Rd, Branch on Wednesday August 31, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10am, Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon following the funeral service, at the home of Elise and Andy Merkey, in Irons. Flowers can be delivered to the Bender farm or Verdun Funeral Home in Baldwin. For mor information, please contact Verdun Funeral Home, Balwin, 231-745-4680

We just stopped in Natakah after going on our annual Old Mission run. What a terrible shock to hear of Rita´s passing!! Sending our sincere condolences to all of those Rita loved. She will forever hold a place in our hearts after renting LaRita for many years for the blessing of the bikes. Rita always made us feel welcomed and at home. She went above and beyond to make our stays memorable. We truly enjoyed our time around Rita!! She was truly one of a kind.

I am heartbroken for your loss! Rita was one of the first people to reach out to my parents and I when we moved to Big Bass Lake, from Indiana, way back in the late 70's. I will never forget her kindness. Sending hugs and prayers!
