ALGONQUIN - Cheryl Ann Kollwelter nee Pohlman, 55, of Algonquin, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.

She was born Dec. 8, 1952, in Great Lakes, to Norris "Nort" and Lois (Jolitz) Pohlman.

She graduated from Barrington High School and Harper Community College. She had worked as a pharmacy tech at Osco Drugs in Carpentersville for many years.

She enjoyed working in her garden and loved to feed the birds and animals and to spend time with family. She will be dearly missed.

She volunteered with Hearts of Gold, a nonprofit organization for needy families in the Algonquin area.

Survivors include her 10 loving aunts; a host of cousins and family; and two godchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The visitation will be from 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, until the service at 7 p.m. at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral & Cremation Services Algonquin Chapel, 201 S. Main St. (Route 31), Algonquin, with the Rev. Brian Cope officiating. Burial will be private in Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.

Memorials may be made to Hearts of Gold, P.O. Box 7806, Algonquin, IL 60102-7806.
