John Dale Obituary

John Sorensen Dale of Minnetrista, MN, age 78, passed away July 23, 2024 after a long fight with pulmonary fibrosis.

He is survived by Cheryl, his wife of 59 years; two sons John and Chris; and four grandchildren.

John was an institutional equity portfolio manager for 47 years and was a founding partner of Peregrine Capital Management in Minneapolis. John was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist, and experienced many wonderful times fly-fishing at their ranch in Montana and around the world with family and friends. Waterfowl hunting with his Labrador Retriever in Canada and near their home in South Dakota was another deep passion. Preserving and enhancing natural resources led to John being a long-time member of the Board of Trustees of the Montana Land Reliance, member of the Board of The Wetlands America Trust of Ducks Unlimited, and member of the Board of the Delta Waterfowl Foundation. He was an active supporter of numerous other conservation organizations as well. John deeply appreciated life so much and lived it to the fullest.

The ceremony will be family only, in accordance with John's wishes.
