Deborah Groves Obituary
SUGAR GROVE: Debbie was born in Lancaster, she graduated from Berne Union High School, and lived most of her adult life in Sugar Grove, Ohio. She worked for a few years at Ralston Purina in Lancaster, then at Berne Union Schools as secretary to the superintendent until she retired. Debbie and Jeff hosted a July 4th Parade open house at their home in Sugar Grove for many years. During her time of illness she was visited by many members of her large and extended family and the many wonderful friends.
She and Jeff have a daughter, Andrea (Brad Watson) Groves; a son, Josh (Mindy) Groves; and much loved grandsons, Wyatt and Zane Groves; her mother, Gloria Uhl; sisters, Susie (Dave) Phillips, Jeannie (Steve) Lavey, Mary (Melvin) Morris, Connie Saffle; brothers, Mike (Donna) Uhl, Pat Uhl, Tom (Shelly) Uhl; brothers-in-law, Bill (Vickie) Groves, Kenny Groves; her favorite aunt and uncle, Donna and Ron Walters; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Fred Uhl, Jr.; mother and father-in-law, Betty and Harry Groves; brothers-in-law: Jim Groves and Tom Saffle.
Visitation will be on Saturday January 7, 2017 from 10:00am to 12:00 Noon at Berne Union High School Gymnasium followed by the Funeral service at 12:00 Noon Saturday January 7, 2017 at the Berne Union High School Gymnasium. Interment will follow in Stukey Cemetery, Sugar Grove.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Berne Union Alumni Association c/o Bonnie Kistler 6221 Sugar Grove Rd, Sugar Grove, OH 43155.
