Donald Brucker Obituary

BYESVILLE: Donald E. Brucker, 78, of Byesville, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Red Carpet Health Care Center.
He was born June 6, 1931 in Fairfield County, and was the son of the late Samuel and Emma (Vogle) Brucker.
Donald was a vendor operator for over 30 years for the State of Ohio, and formerly worked at RCA until its closing and Westinghouse.
He was a member of Call to Freedom Worship in Cambridge and was a graduate of Ohio School for the Blind.
He played in many of the local country bands in the 50's and 60's, and enjoyed radios, animals, especially the family dogs, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harley and Noble; and a sister, Viola Hartman.
He is survived by one daughter, Laura (Jim) Edwards of Byesville; two brothers, Grant Brucker of Mickleton N.J., and Sam (Jeanette) Brucker of Lancaster; three grandsons, Chris (Tammy) Booth of Cambridge, Brian (Barbara) Booth of Sherman, TX., and Cory Edwards of Byesville; five great grandchildren, Timmy, Erica, Lexi, Robbie and Anthony.
Friends may call on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Hollins officiating.
Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial donations in Donald's name be made to the American Cancer Society, Central Region Office – GUERNSEY, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43215.
