Douglas Strohl Obituary

NEW LEXINGTON: Douglas Eugene Strohl, 51, of Tennessee formerly of Junction City, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville.
He was born August 4, 1957 in Lancaster. He owned & operated Lone Mountain Construction Company, was a former employee of New Lexington Schools and Cryil Scott Co. of Lancaster. He was a devoted family man, avid OSU fan, Mushroom hunter, NASCAR, and loved to go boating.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Lacy Strohl; his father, John JR. Strohl; his sons, Shawn Douglas (Donna) Strohl of St. Simons Island, GA & Aaron R. (Kari) Hamilton of Junction City; grandchildren, Hayden Douglas, Madeline Jane & Peyton Ruth Ann Strohl; step grandchildren, Jessica, Keri, & Christin; brother, Mike (Patsy) Strohl, Zanesville; sisters, Karen (Jim) Hammond, Somerset and Amy (Rick) Hooper of New Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Strohl.
Calling hours will be held from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 S. Jackson Street, New Lexington with Rosary at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Father Victor Wesolowski officiating. Burial will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery, Junction City.
