Edgar Stump Obituary
ROCKBRIDGE: Edgar M. Stump, 75, of Rockbridge, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. He was born March 15, 1941 in Hocking County and was the son of the late Dickson and Violet (Lutz) Stump. Edgar was a retired mechanic for Eastside Nursery and a member of Salt Creek Community Church.
He is survived by his wife 50 years, Donna (Young) Stump; daughters, Beverly (James) Hoskinson of Tarlton, Becky Jo (Scott) Thomas of Lancaster and Lisa (Jeremy) Dennis of Rockbridge; grandchildren, Amanda (Trevor) Bratton and Jaclyn Hoskinson, Joey Thomas, Matthew and Aaron Dennis; brother, Harold (Barbara) Stump of Tarlton; sister, Wretha (Jack) Malone of Rockbridge and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Deighton Stump; sisters, Alice Carroll and Rosemary Anderson and two infant sisters.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Jim Vandagriff officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
The family would like contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Edgar's memory.

Uncle Edgar will be missed by all who knew him. He was kind and giving. He was funny and gentle. He was a wonderful father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He was like a second daddy to me and I will cherish his love for me forever. Love you Uncle Edgar and will see you again in Heaven
