Francis Fox Obituary

LANCASTER: Francis "Frank" H. Fox, 82, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Fairfield Medical Center.
He was born on June 6, 1928 in Lancaster to the late Clement A. and Anna Theresa (Joos) Fox. Frank graduated from St. Mary High School in 1947. He was a kind and gentle man. Frank was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. He worked for 34 years at Anchor Hocking in the Shipping Department. Frank enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and playing cards with his brothers and sisters. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers, Cincinnati Reds, and Ohio State.
Frank was a loving father to his daughters, Nancy A. Fox of Lancaster; and Rose M. Fox of Zanesville; he is also survived by his brothers, Robert A. Fox, Joseph C. Fox, and Raymond L. Fox; sisters, Esther (David) Strohmeyer, Margaret (Ron) Wolfinger, Theresa (Albert) Juncewicz; sisters-in-law, Noel and Jodi Guisinger, Rita (Fred) Kemp; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann (Guisinger) Fox; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Louise (Raymond) Hyme; sisters-in-law, Anita Fox, Mary Ellen Fox, and Ruth Guisinger.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church with Fr. Bentz as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, June 13 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at the SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME, with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Mary School in Frank's Memory.
