Fred Hanna Obituary
LANCASTER: Fred L. "Sonny" Hanna, 71, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Fairfield Medical Center. Fred was born February 11, 1942 in a log cabin in Dixie, Ohio.
Fred retired after 37 years with Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation. He was a devoted son and brother; a loving and caring father and grandfather; and he will be sadly missed by his euchre buddies.
Fred is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Jeff) Cheeseman and Brenda (Jeff) Clagg; son, Rick (Michele) Hanna; grandchildren, Brittany, Sarah, Veronica, Jeffery, Tia, Whitley, and Hannah; six great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane (Charles) Azbell and Ruth Azbell; many nieces, nephews, friends, and friend & mother of his children, Judy Cunningham.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Estella (Deavers) Hanna; very special friend, Ruth Studer; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Charles McCune; brother-in-law, John Azbell; and great granddaughter, Danielle.
A memorial service for Fred will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster with Reverend Toby Bullock officiating. Family and friends may visit from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Caring Cremation has taken place.
