Lancaster - Haylen M. Tabor, age 16 of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus. He was born October 14, 2004 in Lancaster the son of Jeffrey Johnson and Laura Tabor. Haylen was a sophomore at Lancaster High School where he was loved by all. He was a goofball, jokester and the class clown. Haylen played basketball in the Lancaster Biddy Basketball Association. He enjoyed fishing, sports, time spent with his friends and had planned to study auto mechanics next year.
He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey Johnson, of Columbus and Laura Tabor, of Lancaster; siblings, Kaydance, Leila, Hunter and Landon; aunts, Lisa Tabor, of Logan, Christy Solsman, of Van Wert, and Chelsea (Michael) Haack, of Lomira, WI; grandma, Virginia Smyers, of Amanda; great grandma, Alberta Hill, of Amanda; great uncles, Keith (Mary) Hill, of Lancaster, Tony (Tawnette) Hill, of Lakeview, Jerry (Carol) Hill, of Lancaster, and Jeff (Lisa) Hill, of Junction City; many cousins. He is preceded in death by his great grandpa, Parvy Hill Jr.
A public visitation will be held from 4-8p.m. Monday, February 1, 2021 at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home. In accordance with State mandates, COVID Protocols including facial coverings and social distancing will be followed. A private funeral service will be held Tuesday at the funeral home. The private funeral may also be viewed live at the funeral home's Facebook page at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster.
