Jack Brown Obituary
LANCASTER: Jack Brown, 85, of Lancaster, son of the late Milford and Bessie Moore Brown, died Wednesday, February 13, 2014 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jack was a lifetime member of AMVETS, and a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by brothers Melvin, Milford, Gary, and Bill Brown, and sister Mary Catherine Stump.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Lou Brown; as well as his son Rick Brown and daughter Lu Ann Sweeney; grandchildren: Justin A. Sweeney, Roderick Brown (Vickie), Shane Sweeney (Jennifer Goubeaux), Cullan and Chelsey Anderson (son and daughter of Rebecca and Allan Anderson); great-grandchildren: Destiny and Dakota Brown, and Jackson Sweeney. sisters: Opal Ashworth and Linda (Bob) Dittoe. Sisters-in-law: Maxine Moore, Alice DeLong, Audrey and Sandra Brown. Along with several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and calling hours, a memorial will be held at AMVETS Post 1985, 700 S Maple St., on Sunday, February 16, 2014, between the hours of 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

A wonderful man has earned his wings. Jack was such a thoughtful and caring man. What an honor it is to call you my friend. You will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Jack's family. May his memories bring you peace love and comfort.

Mary Lou, Lu Ann and the Brown family, I'm so very sorry about Jacks passing. He was a wonderful soul and always enjoyed our conversations. May our Lord give you strength and comfort during this time and may Jacks many, many memories give you peace until you are with him once again. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
