Joseph Forquer Obituary

LANCASTER: Joseph P. Forquer, 86, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, June 06, 2010.
Joseph was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church; the Fraternal Order of Police Lancaster, Forest Rose Lodge; the American Legion Post #11; the International Police Association, Region 21; and the Lancaster Police Supervisors Association. He worked 34 years with the Lancaster Police Department, retired as a captain. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anna Forquer; son, Greg (Jackie) Forquer of Amanda; cousins, Ruth Ann (Tom) Weidner of Baltimore and Barbara (Bob) Musso of Columbus; brother-in-law, Neal (Joan) Miller of Bremen; and sister-in-law, Miriam Kilbarger.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Lancaster. Burial will follow in Forest Rose Cemetery. Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made in Joseph's name to the F.O.P. Lodge 50 Memorial Fund, PO Box 763, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
