Wow just now hearing about this, what a punch to the gut. :(
I worked with Ron at Kroger on and off for 12 years. He and I seemed to always cross paths, even when we both moved to different stores. I have a ton of fond memories and had a lot of great times with him at Kroger, lots of stories I could tell(and some I can't lol). I was trained by him on night stock when I was 20 in 1993, and then worked with him at Canal in my mid 20s. He was a huge part of my day almost every day for years straight and it made those long, repetitive grocery days so much more bearable. He was a great friend whom I learned so much from and received a lot of great advice...much of which I sure wish I had taken now that I'm much older. He was an amazing worker, very intelligent, and an epic sense of humor. I regret so much that I didn't visit him more after I moved on from Kroger, one of my old friends I still think about and miss a lot. I'll see you again someday, my brother, we will have a lot to catch up on.
