George Abeyta Obituary

George Abeyta passed away peacefully on Aug. 9, 2021 in Albuquerque, N.M.
He was born Feb. 8, 1951 in Holman, N.M.
Abeyta is preceded in death by his parents, Vicente and Nestora Abeyta; and brothers, William and Vicente Abeyta Jr.
George, also known as Rambo to some, retired from the New Mexico Highway Department after 23 plus years of employment. He had been retired for many years and had resided in Holman, N.M., in his life-long home.
George is survived by his daughter Tawnya Abeyta of Las Vegas, Nev.; (Ramon Montes); sister's, Gloria Sinsheimer, (Harry) of Albuquerque, N.M., Helen Sanchez of Bosque Farms, N.M., Jane Morales of Oxnard, Calif., and Julie Huartson of Carmel, Ind.; brother Roger Abeyta of Albuquerque, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at St Gertrude the Great Catholic Church, Mora, N.M. as follows:
Rosary: Sunday, Aug. 15, 7 p.m., prayed by The Legion of Mary
Mass: Monday, Aug. 16, 10 a.m., Celebrant, Fr. Jim Mulligan
Burial to follow at San Isidro Cemetery, Holman, N.M.
Rogers funeral home is handling arrangements.
