Julian Valencia Obituary
He was a beloved kind and caring son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin. His passion was playing basketball. He also loved playing video games and camping at the Valencia Ranch with family.
Julian is preceded in death by his aunt Raquel Valencia.
Julian is survived by mother Bianca Valencia Martinez (stepdad Paul) and father Kenneth Chavez (Vanna). Also survived by sisters, Jaci Jade and Khalea; and brother Santiago; stepbrothers, Shawn, Shayne, Kahlil, Julius and Landon all from Rio Rancho, N.M.; Maternal grandfather Augustin Valencia, from Las Vegas, N.M.; maternal grandmother Elaine Romero Gallegos (Kenny); and maternal great-grandmother Jennie Trujillo, from Rio Rancho, N.M.; paternal grandfather Anthony Coríz; paternal grandmother Cheri Chavez (Jonathan); aunts, Rebeca Valencia Carrillo (Shawn), Ursula Valencia; uncles, Adrian Coriz, Vernon Chavez (Virginia); special cousins, Ariana Valencia, Lexi Valencia, Annalís Campos.
Julian also leaves behind many great-aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
Julian also will forever be remembered by his extended family and dear friends, for his gentle spirit, humor, generosity, intelligence and his outstanding athletic abilities.

I’m sorry this is late, I just couldn’t find the words to say, I can’t say everything will be alright, although I will say that we need to be strong for Julian, have faith and pray. Julian was my classmate for 3rd-5th grade. I have many memories with him that I keep locked in my head. He was always my friend, we’d sit by each other and make jokes. I remember he’d call himself a “laughaholic” because he would laugh so much that our teacher would have to tell him to quite down. I remember him being so happy, how he’d glow and how he was a great person to be around. His smile and laugh would light up the room and they were so contagious you couldn’t help smiling and laughing back. I remember he loved basketball, he seemed to be good at it too. When Julian moved I thought about him often, I still do. He was my guy best friend. Julian meant a lot to me, this is so surreal to me. My first day in third grade I was new to Las Vegas and didn’t know anyone. My teacher had me sit in a group of kids; one including Julian. We sat by each other and instantly clicked. I often pray for Julian, and will keep praying for him. I truly offer my condolences, and will pray for you all.

I’m late to this and i’m sorry. My mom didn’t tell me because she didn’t want me to hurt while reading the things people said about him. I loved Julian so much. Every time he laughed, It would make me laugh because of how contagious his laugh was. He made me happy and excited to get out of bed in the morning just so I could talk to him and hear his voice and laugh. His smile would light up any room he walked into. He has the sweetest souls I had ever met and he made me so happy I can’t even put it into words. I’m so sorry for whoever was impacted by the pass of Julian.

We didn’t talk very much when you would come visit in Denver because you were still a shy little guy around me.. From the few times I talked to Julian at Lexi birthday parties I could see how genuine,kind, and amazing he was as a person. The way Lexi spoke about Julian or anyone in her family I could tell immediately how close they are and it break my heart that the Valencia Family and other close to Julian are feeling this pain. Julian was a favorite friend of my daughter Molly. We were very new to NM when she started school in Rio Rancho in February 2020 just prior to the shut down.
