Tony Trujillo Obituary
He was born Antonio Maximiliano Orlando Trujillo Jr. on Jan. 10, 1967, to Mr. and Mrs. Tony Trujillo Sr. in Las Vegas. He graduated from West Las Vegas High School as senior class president in 1985 and worked in retail in Santa Fe for a few years, then worked in family-owned businesses for many years. Five years ago, Tony began his lifelong dream of pursuing a career in nursing. He completed his certified nursing assistant and licensed practical nursing studies. He loved serving the ill and especially the elderly patients he cared for.
Tony was raised to love the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father, grandfather, uncles and cousins. He enjoyed skiing, golfing, running and riding his motorcycle.
His family will fondly remember Tony's wit and sense of humor. Tony was a devout Catholic and especially cherished his visitations to the Blessed Sacrament.
He is survived by his mother, Theresa Trujillo; his sisters, Michelle Trujillo (Mark), and Angela Trujillo-Garcia (Pat); nephews, Antonio (Ashly), Joseph (Kim), Marcus (Adella), Jacob; nieces, Andrea, Angelica and Alicia, Sarah, and his great-niece, Analisa; maternal-grandmother, Minnie Mares; paternal-grandfather, Max O. Trujillo; uncles, Joseph (Delma), Richard (Ruth), Eddie (Diane), Angelo (Lora), Max (Beth), Louie Trujillo, Adam and Anthony Vigil; aunts, Carmen, Virginia, Dolores (Salomon), Rosalinda (Kirk), and Martha Vigil; and numerous loving cousins.
He was preceded in death by his loving father, Tony Trujillo Sr.; paternal grandmother, Consuelo Trujillo; maternal grandfather, Adan Vigil, paternal great-grandmother, Carmen Trujillo; maternal great-grandmother, Teresita Mares; uncle, Arturo Tafoya and cousins, Tanya Trujillo and baby Manaia Lautalo.
Services will be held today (Wednesday) at Immaculate Conception Church, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial celebrant Fr. George Salazar at 10 a.m. The burial will take place following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Antonio Vigil, Pat Garcia, Eddie Trujillo, Salomon Maese Jr., Adam Vigil, and Anthony Vigil will serve as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers are: Mark Barela, Ryan Trujillo, Angelica Vigil, Richard (RJ) Trujillo III, and Elizabeth Montoya.
