Aaron T. Bigman

1933 - 2021

May 16, 1933 - January 2, 2021 Aaron Bigman, 87, passed away peacefully at home in Northridge CA on January 2, 2021 with his loving wife Doreen at his side. Aaron was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Lilly and Benjamin Bigman. Aaron married Doreen in October 1955 and they soon moved to Regensburg Germany where Aaron was stationed as an Army Communications Officer. After his military service, Aaron continued to work as an electronics engineer and eventually co-owned Advanced Technical Corporation, an aerospace and navigation systems contractor, in West Los Angeles. Aaron's exceptional talents as an engineer were matched only by his generosity, kindness and sense of humor. He was an avid reader, vegetable gardener, and loved all things nature (especially being in the forests of Mt. Shasta). Although quiet in nature, Aaron was always ready with a joke or a funny story, and was at home discussing any subject, whether it was history, plumbing repairs or the stock market. He was beloved and admired by all who knew him, including his close group of friends, his loyal employees, and, most of all, his loving family. As the son of immigrant parents, Aaron lived the American dream and devoted himself to making a better life for Doreen, his children and grandchildren.Aaron is survived by Doreen, his wife of 65 years, son Bennett Bigman (Linda), daughter Shari Bigman (Tommy), grandchildren Alex (Natasha), Kyle and Scott, sister Rosalie Silber (Michael), and sister-in-law Ruth Bigman, along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family also wishes to thank the many physicians, nurses, and caregivers who so expertly and graciously cared for Aaron and gifted us with additional years we could be with him. The family will have a private memorial service.
