Alfred "Al" Purvis

PURVIS, Alfred (Al)(89) of Fallbrook, passed away on August 24, 2001. Mr. Purvis was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel (Julie) in 1996. He is survived by his daughter Alynn E. Canning of Payson, AZ. A sister, Joanna McNeil of Santa Monica, CA. Also, granddaughter Lisa Hasten and grandson David Stokes and 6-grandchildren all of New Orleans, Louisiana. Alfred was a graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles. He was also a WWII veteran serving in the South Pacific as a member of the US Army. Mr. Purvis served as chief legislative analyst for the city of Los Angeles for 26-years. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Fallbrook Men's Golf Association. In earlier years Mr. Purvis enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, and rv'ing with his wife Julie. No services are planned.
