Allan Freeman Obituary

October 27, 1933 - August 30, 2014
Sadly, Allan Freeman passed away in Palm Desert on August 30, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Allan attended Fairfax High School and graduated UCLA in 1952. Upon his graduation Allan served in the United States Air Force as a Pilot. Following his military service Allan became a general contractor and developer throughout Southern California focusing on residential and commercial real estate for over fifty years. A man of many talents, great charm and movie star good looks, he will be greatly missed by his family and many beloved friends for his kind heart and generous spirit, his humor and integrity. He had space for many in his heart and many held him in theirs. Simply put, he was loved. He is survived by his devoted children, Glenn (Carin) Freeman, Erik (Ruby) Freeman, Christian Freeman and Amber (James) Vanderbilt, grandchildren Lauren (Andrew) Felder, Brian and Joey Freeman; Maxwell, Portia and River Freeman; Jack and Charles Vanderbilt; dear friend and former wife Gunilla Hutton Freeman and his beloved dog Polo.

We first met Allan in 1955 when he and my husband were in pilot training at Marina Air Base, Arizona. He was a good friend. So sorry to read of his passing. God Bless.

Our sympathy to your family, it's always hard to lose your parent

September 8, 2014

My deepest sympathy to your family. Our loving creator invites us to approach him in prayer, to pour out our heart to him. (Psalm 62:8) May he grant you guidance, strength and comfort during this time of sadness.

Allan will always have a place in my heart. He was a kind, loving, honest man. When I told my daughter he had passed, her comment was,"he was so handsome.....nice also, but what a good looking guy". That he was!

Allan, you were loved by all that met you and will be greatly missed.

God Bless You.
