I have been privileged, lucky, fortunate and proud to have met many interesting and successful people over the years in my career in banking and finance in Southern California. People from all parts of the world, with diverse backgrounds, heritage, education, experience, intelligence, and business skills and acumen. However, after 40+ years, there is only one individual that stands out from all of the others that I have met. That individual is Andrew Kallman.
I first met Andrew in 1995 or 1996 when he was a young, ambitious CPA just beginning to grow his accounting firm. But I quickly learned that Andrew was more than an accountant, he was a voracious businessman and entrepreneur. No matter the challenge or obstacle, Andrew was always ready to take it on and succeed. When it came to business, nothing could stop Andrew, he had the right touch, understanding, and guile to make it work, no matter how high the hurdles or the degree of difficulty.
But while Andrew had all of the skills, and entrepreneurial spirit, there were three significant traits that he displayed that set him apart as a person. Andrew never gave up, he never quit. And, Andrew always shared information on his business - whether it was good, bad or indifferent. He was honest - always, he always told the truth.
However, his most important trait was his loyalty. Andrew was faithful and loyal to his friends, to his partners, to his employees, to his clients, to his business relationships, and most importantly, to his family. I could relate many instances of his honesty and loyalty, because as a friend and business associate of his for over 20 years, I saw these attributes many, many, many times over.
So, to Frances, Sammy, Kayla, and Nicky and all of Andrews family, I do not need to tell you how deeply he cared about you and loved you, you already know that. But you should know that he cared and loved everyone else, and that he was respected as a very fine person and a gentleman.
I will miss you deeply Andrew, but Ill never forget you. Rest In Peace

Friends of your spring-time,
They are all vanishing,
Fleeing to fables,
Cannot be moored.

For over forty years you and I shared a brotherhood of love and laughter. There have been many songs sung at the moon, and more than a few sunrises, but never an argument. Not one. And you were always so larger than life, How could we ever imagine you gone? So sad. This is a huge hit. Journey well Andy. And know you are always welcome to haunt me whenever you wish, if only for a visit in my dreams. Deepest heartfelt condolences to Francis and the kids, and to all your extended family.
Friends of your spring-time,
They are all vanishing,
Fleeing to fables,
Cannot be moored.
Love you buddy.
