Angus McBain Obituary
A graduate of UCLA, he served 2 years in the Army in Darmstadt, Germany and was the youngest officer to have been given command of a 280mm nuclear cannon battery. He had a Masters degree in Political Science from Stanford and an MBA from Stanford Business School. An enthusiastic Hoover Institution Overseer, he also served as President of the Board of Hathaway Home for Children and on several other boards in Los Angeles. He is survived by, in addition to his devoted wife, Lucy, his beloved daughter, Barbara McBain Sniezek (Joe), step-children Jeffrey Bell, Charles Derek Bell (Yvonne), Christopher Bell (Brenda) and Lisa Bell Hutchins (Mark), and grandchildren, Joey and Allie Sniezek and Lucy Kate and Grace Hutchins.

Dear Lucy, It has been several years now since my late Susie and I were with you and Angus in California and I was a business associate of Angus and Walt Rose. Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.

The world has suffered a major loss with the passing of Angus. We met skiing in Austria back in 1984 and became friends instantly as we shared the same values and politics. Our sympathies are with Lucy and family.
