Audree GREENWALD Obituary

GREENWALD, Audree Dec. 4, 1920-Nov. 4, 2010 Audree Greenwald was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Together with her husband, Alvin, they raised a warm and wonderful family: children, Paul (Isabel), Randy (Marnie), and Nancee (Steve); grandchildren, D.J., Jamie, Seth, Shawna, Noah, Elan, and Talia; and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Liam. She was Bubbee to all of them. Nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by her large family and friends. While attending UCLA she studied art and psychology, participated in ballroom dancing and sorority life, and began her lifelong romantic relationship with Alvin, whom she had met in junior high school. In 1955 Audree and Alvin embarked upon the first of their many world travels, visiting exotic places with family and friends.
In 1950 she became a founding member of Oscar Reiss Children's Workers, which provided counseling services to children and their families. She was an active member of a philharmonic auxiliary fund raising organization, and volunteered her time for children's cancer research. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations in Audree's memory to Vista Del Mar, marked "Reiss-Davis Study Center" and send to Vista Del Mar, 3200 Motor Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90034. May thoughts
of all your mother meant-
Of love she gave,
of good times spent-
Bring you peace
and comfort, too,
And keep your mother
close to you.
With Deepest Sympathy,

Mario Vanegas and family
