Am so sorry to belatedly learn of Barbara´s passing. I continue to admire a poster in my collection of one of her paintings that she personally signed years ago along with her best wishes to my spouse Joan. I .Her artwork is outstanding. She seemed to me to be a warm hearted very talented individual who indeed helped to make our world a better place. Joan and I extend our sincere condolences to all of Barbara´s loved ones.

I recently had a gathering of my neighbors at my winter home in Florida to meet my daughter & her husband. Many had never been in my home, so it was a delight to show off my collection of Barbara A Wood serigraphs gracing the walls of my guest bedroom, my favorite being FORGET ME NOT, the one that started it all. And the "OH's & AW's were just plain MARVELOUS! Ms. Wood is alive & well throughout the world, even in my home in Largo, FL.

I was so sorry to see this posting while searching for Barbara Wood and how to contact her. My husband and I, though not wealthy or famous, have collected her work over many years, mostly through Park West Gallery. We love her use of color and subtle nuances of character expression. One of our favorite, and our only original piece, was torn during a move. We were hoping to restore it, hence the wish to contact Barbara. She was truly a gifted artist, and her work will leave a hole in the art community. We were blessed to share her beautiful work. Condolences to your family.

Being of Austrian Origin I try to ready as many books possible in English and Ms. Wood's book I
loved to ready most; many times she offered charakters and opinions with which it was easy to identify and so I felt Sometimes very near to Ms. Wood. R.I.P.

Our memories of Barbara are deep, treasured and loving as she was my stepmother for over 40-years. We spent many wonderful times together, celebrating holidays, birthdays and many family get-togethers. Her talent as an artist was phenomenal. She was a loving, caring and warm person. We will miss her forever.

I am just now learning of the passing of Barbara A Wood. I became aware of her work after purchasing a piece of art for $10 at a local auction back in 2012 because I thought the frame was worth at least that much. Come to find out just a few months later, it was a serigraph titled Forget Me Not. It is the main attraction in our bedroom at our home in Florida. As a result, I now own 11 Barbara A Wood pieces mostly serigraphs. I have a framed signed poster from her ONE WOMAN SHOW in Atlanta in my hallway, also. As a result, I had to learn everything I could about her. She is the epitome of survival at its best using her talent to not only support herself, but to fill the world with her lovely art.
I send to you, her family, my Sincere Sympathy in her passing.
