To the Family & All friends of Beverly, I extend my sympathy, prayers & love. You & all the world has lost a Beautiful Soul, who will continue to Bless the world with her wonderful talent for painting. She was "one of a kind" who had such a beautiful talent! She will & has been missed. I did not know her but fell in love the first time I saw the "Pinto Painting, then looked for more of her works! I am just one of the millions who loved her through her outstanding works of extraordinary & great talent. We have lost a truly wonderful & special artist.

I first met Beverly Doolittle at the Alaska State Fair where she was exhibiting her art. I was visiting family at that time. I was a travel agent and ran a 5K in Salt Lake City for Delta Airlines when it transitioned from Western Airlines and was given free airfare and chose to go visit family in Alaska. My father´s cousin, Jim Cottrell, homesteaded land in and around Anchorage, Alaska and I had never been to Alaska. I was very impressed by her art. I had no money then, but followed her and eventually acquired some original signed pieces. I loved the hidden imagery she became so famous for. Her art was the first that I collected. Because of her art, I studied Native American history. I was introduced to Edward Curtis photogravures and began collecting them as well. I don´t know what to do with my art collection, it is in storage and my children and grandchildren have no interest for any of it. I wish I had known her. She gave me a great appreciation for art, and I have a great collection.
