Bobbie Tucker Obituary

September 19, 1940 - December 3, 2020 Bobbie Earl Tucker, Sr., 80 of Petal, MS passed away Dec. 3 in Hattiesburg, MS. Bobbie was a US Navy veteran and retiree from the LAPD, where he served as a patrolman and motorcycle officer early on. Earning his pilot's license, he was accepted into the helicopter training program and flew with the LAPD Air Support Division. Bobbie was with the department for 22 years, serving as a Chaplain along with his other duties. Over his last 10 years there, Bobbie served as the Chief Maintenance Officer over the LAPD's fleet of aircraft. He was a member of the Airborne Law Enforcement Association, serving as president of the organization for a time as well. Bobbie and his wife, Moonyean, were active members of Liberty Temple Church of God in Arleta and The Church on the Way in Van Nuys during their time in LA. He thoroughly enjoyed his time in Los Angeles, making many friends along the way. He is survived by his wife, Kay and other family and friends.
