Bruce was an excellent dentist and friend. After being with Bruce for 40 years, it has been difficult to find any dentist who can match his skill, professionalism and "bedside manner". He will be greatly missed.

Our prayers are with his family.

I'm am so saddened to hear about the passing of Bruce. He was an invaluable source of knowledge on and off the track. I am proud to say he was my track instructor, and even more so a friend. Not seeing you around the pits anymore will be hard to get used to. I send my deepest condolences to the family and all those he touched. R.I.P Gooch, you will be sorely missed.

My sincerest condolences to the the Kawaguchi family. Bruce was a very dear friend and my mentor in our local Shelby club, LASSAC. He was also my driving instructor with the SCCA. “Gooch” was a true Renaissance Man—accomplished at anything he pursued. He was also quick with a friendly hug and an articulate historian of anything interesting.

To quote Bruce’s cousin, Elaine Ito— “always cool.” Enough said.
