Carlos Moreno Obituary

Carlos Ortiz Moreno, 82, of Highland, California passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 in Loma Linda, California. He was born on September 25, 1930 in Los Angeles, California to Felipe and Santos Moreno. In 1951, he married Eleanor Ballesteros.

Carlos was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the United States Army as a military police officer. Upon his discharge, he worked for Disneyland. Later, he went to work for the Los Angeles Unified School District. He retired as the Assistant Director of Maintenance after 33 years of dedicated service.

He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his wife Eleanor Moreno; three daughters: Patricia Ortiz, LindaHodson, and Cindy Moreno; grandchildren: Marisa Hernandez, Billy Jacquez, Stacie Hernandez, Jamie Ward, Erik Hodson, and Ryan Hodson; great grandchildren: Lauren Hernandez, Baylie Sargent, Michael Maldonado, NicholasHodson, Oceania Martinez, Liam Ward, and CamaranHodson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

To know Carlos was to have a friend for life. He was a shining example of honesty, integrity, and commitment to family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Seven Stars Foundation, inc.
