Carlton Stewart Obituary
May 9, 1944 - April 7, 2011
Carlton L Stewart, 66, of Las Vegas, passed away April 7, 2011. He was born in Terre Haute, Ind., on May 9, 1944 to Arlena Jeter Stewart and father Herman A Moore; Carlton served his country with distinction and rose to the rank of Sergeant, Rifle Expert, Marksman, Master Gunner, honor guard in Korea and honorable discharged. Carlton worked and resided in Colorado, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. Carlton was a hard working entrepreneur. He was also the first black man elected vice president local union 311 in the State of NV. Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, at Ebenezer C.O.G.I.C., 1072 W Bartlett Ave. in Las Vegas. Burial will be followed at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Carlton is survived by his wife Jualitta King Stewart, children, grandchildren, and sisters Patricia Churchill, Anna Washington, Gwendolyn Yang, Paula Moore, and Joyce Ladd Randolph.

Happy Belated Birthday Carlton!
I didn´t forget your birthday on May 9, 2023. Kim called me and informed me that Carlton Jr. Daa Haudd, Lee Lee, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren were all going to your grave site to celebrate your Birthday. I decided to wait and send you a message on my birthday which is today, May 18, 2023.
Carlton, 32 years ago, you, Kim, Mother, Patricia, Anna, Paula, my neighbors, and some of my good friends celebrated my birthday. We all had an amazing time. Dannis gave me the okay to pull out all the bells and whistles. The theme was Casino Night, the party was catered,
(Brents Deli) we had waiter, waitress, bartenders, and prizes everyone could win and great music. Having my birthday at home in my backyard was the best birthday I ever had. I will never forget my 40th Birthday it was awesome!!

Happy Belated Birthday Carlton!
Well, you´re 78 years old. I know you and all the family celebrated and had a good dinner that Mother, Mom Stewart, Anna, and Aunt Alyce prepared, I´m sure you, Daddy and Dwayne were sipping on some Dom Perignon, Janice and Alyce had water or 7UP. I hope you´re enjoying the Red Roses we left you. Carlton you are a shining light that never dims.
While in Vegas we saw Silk Sonic, their show was awesome, electrifying fantastic and very Memorable. All the fans were on there feet the whole show, my favorite song is Keep the Door Open.

I sent Daddy Herman and you flowers today. When Patricia arrived at Daddy's grave site the florist also arrived (right on time)! Then I was contacted and informed your flowers were also put on your grave site which brought a smile to my face also. I know Daddy and you are enjoying the flowers, it's hot in both states but I'm sure the flowers will last until Sunday midday (6/17/2012 Father's Day)!

Hey Big Brother,
I look at Mother (Arlena), Daddy (Herman), Grandmother (Mom Stewart Patterson). Brother (Dwayne) Grandmother (Paula Porter) Aunt ( Alice Matthew) and you everyday. I wish I had pictures of our two baby sisters that died. (Janice Denise and Alyce Pauline) they both would be in their 50's. Janice's Headstone that you made in 1959 at Gersmeyer Technical High School still looks very good. I remember you saying if you're going to do something do it right the first time and be the best that you can be.
Well, Carlton a year ago today I was with you while you were still talking and walking, but doing it very slowly and in excruciation burning pain in your Abdomen and stomach! You were still keeping a very positive attitude and still being the man of wisdom. I remember you telling me to bring you a coffee from Starbucks (sweet with whip cream toping)!
I was glad that your brother in-law and I was able to spend a few days with you. And the three of us having dinner together was great, I cherished every moment.
