Katie was such a wonderful human being. She had been a friend since middle school and she was always so uniquely herself; she was spunky, wicked-smart, compassionate, fun, creative, and a good friend. I am so sorry for her family's loss and hope they know how much joy Katie brought to those of us who were lucky enough to have had her touch our lives.

Catherine was a wonderful to work with, she was kind and she had a beautiful spirit. May the memories and the love she had for her family be forever etch in your heart and in the corners of your mind. May you feel the strength of Jesus Christ as he is carrying right now through this difficult time. Catherine is at peace and she is sleeping in the Loving Arms of Jesus Christ now.

Katie was so fun to work with. She was always open to new ideas and often was the first to chip in. I watched her as she moved a group through new work with a subtle touch, leading from behind. She made the group's confusion ok and didn't rush. She made space for all to contribute and feel that all ideas were valid/good. She was curious. Personally, we talked about raising kids, our families' lineage, snowboarding and Gap sweat pants. I miss her.

Catherine worked with me at UCLA when she pursued her doctoral degree in public health . She was a wonderful student and person. So very sad to hear of her passing. She juggled family, work, and study and had so much to contribute to our field. I know she was dedicated to her family and will be missed by all of us at the Fielding School of Public Health.
