Charles Trilling Obituary

April 13, 1923 - May 25, 2016 Charles Alexander Trilling passed away May 25, 2016, at his home surrounded by his wife and children. Mr. Trilling, who grew up in Poland and France, came to the United States in 1940, graduating from Caltech and receiving his PhD in Chemical Engineering from MIT. Mr. Trilling was project engineer in charge of the Organic Moderated Reactor Experiment conducted by Atomic International for the US Atomic Energy Commission. Later in his career, he worked on sustainable energy projects. He loved spending time travelling with his family, hiking in Switzerland, France, and in National Parks throughout the US and Canada. He climbed the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, and the Grand Teton, and went trekking in Nepal. He is survived by his wife Lillian, his son Mark, his daughters Helen and Deborah, son-in-law Barry, and three grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
