Charlotte Woffinden Obituary

Woffinden, Charlotte McGinnis
Passed away May 24, 2006, after a valiant battle with cancer, at home, surrounded by family and friends. She was 53 years old. Born in Lorain, Ohio, October 23, 1952, attended Boston University, performed with the Williamstown Theatre Festival and moved to Los Angeles in 1976. Film credits include Billy Jack Goes to Washington, Hardcore and Reform School Girls. Stage credits include Center Theatre Group and The Groundlings, which she joined after several prize-winning appearances on The Gong Show with comedy partner Paul Reubens. At the dawning of rock video, Charlotte worked as a wardrobe stylist, where she met her husband, Howard. A member of SAG, AEA and AFTRA, Charlotte was inducted into the Customers Union Local 705 last month. Survived by devoted husband of 18 years, Howard; loving daughter, Eleanor; brothers Eddie and Jimmy, and a legion of devoted friends. Special thanks to Cedar Sinai Cancer center, Nancy Bayda and The Committee. A memorial is scheduled for Tuesday, May 30, 11 a.m. Hollywood Forever Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Eleanor Woffinden College Fund, 7095 Hollywood Blvd., #577, Hollywood, CA 90028.
