Cheryl Kaiser Obituary

January 31, 1953 - May 28, 2016 Cheryl Robin Kaiser, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away in Los Angeles on May 28, 2016, at the age of 63. Cheryl, daughter of Hyman and Beatrice Gross, was born in New York City on January 31, 1953, and a few years later, she and her family moved to Los Angeles. She grew up in the Fairfax area and graduated from Fairfax High School in 1971. Cheryl placed a premium on education. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Child Development from CSUN, becoming the first in her family to earn a college degree. She married her husband of nearly 40 years, Jeffrey Philip Kaiser, on August 7, 1976, at Valley Beth Shalom in Encino. They had two children, Michael, born in 1982, and Heather, born in 1986. Cheryl was a devoted wife and mother and dedicated her life to her family. Cheryl enjoyed traveling, cooking, shopping, seeing live entertainment and hosting parties. Most importantly, she cherished spending time with family and friends. She had a very giving nature and always helped those who were less fortunate. She proudly and lovingly served as the conservator for her brother, Dennis Gross, who has autism. She passionately fought for his proper diagnosis and treatment. In memory of Cheryl, you may send a donation to Autism Speaks at http://events.autismspeaks.org/tributes/cherylkaiser. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; son, Michael, and his wife, Debra; daughter, Heather Nehamen, and her husband, Craig; and Cheryl's brother, Dennis. May her memory be a blessing.
