Chris was a mainstay in our community. You would see him helping out at many of the events at the Venice Japanese Community Center. We had the privilege of taking care of his eyes/vision for over 40 years. We will all miss him very much.

Chris was one of my brother's closest friends. He has been around my family home, family occasions, and casual gatherings for almost 30 years. My mother and I have many fond memories of his warmth and kindness. He was truly a gentleman, a generous soul, and a compassionate person. His passing has left a tremendous hole in my brother's life which no one else will ever fill. He is gone much too soon but his memory will live on.

To the family and friends - I am so shocked to hear of Chris's passing. He will truly be missed - he had such a special spirit and was like another brother to our family. He's on the BIG wave now with a higher power. Take care and God bless

I knew Chris from Hal's in Venice, where he was a "mainstay" at the bar. Always cheerful and full of information. We had the love of Hawaii in common and we always had a great time talking about the islands. Chris, you will be missed. Those who knew you, like myself, whether briefly or for a long time, will remember you and will save you seat at Hals each time we are there. Fly well my friend, I will miss you.
