Cindy Weitzman Obituary

Weitzman, Cindy Lynne April 28, 1960 - January 15, 2012 Beloved wife and mother, married to her childhood sweetheart for 27 years, friends for 39. She had two children, Megan 20, and Justin 24. Cindy started work right out of high school with Pacific Bell, enjoying an accomplished career for 33 years where she was loved and truly respected by everyone she worked with. She was excited about beginning a new position at AT&T, moving back into a remodeled home and starting a new chapter in her life seeing her children take the next steps in their lives and growing old with her husband. Cindy leaves behind an overwhelming void in the hearts of a large family and an extensive network of friends and co-workers. Cindy had the unique and wonderful gift of facing the world each and everyday with a smile on her face and kindness in her heart regardless of any challenges or adversity. No words to describe how much her beautiful soul will be missed from now to eternity with love and prayers forever. Services will be held on January 25, 2012 at 11:00am at Shepherd of the Hills 19700 Rinaldi St. Porter Ranch, Ca 91326. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

I first met Cindy at the Van Nuys Phone Center Store around 1980 or 1981. When I met Keith, we realized we knew each other in high school. Cindy and I both worked in Woodland Hills. I transfered to an outside job in 1989. Our paths crossed numerous times when she would visit my garage during the Eric Period. She had a wonderful way of combining professionalism and truly caring about people. She will be missed. The service for her was as nice as any I had been to.

What a tragic loss. I met Cindy working in North Hollywood when she first started with Pacific Telephone. I had the pleasure to work with Cindy for many years until she moved over in the Pasadena area. I met Keith before they were married and got together socially a few times. Cindy was so happy to marry Keith and loved her children so very much. My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time.

I knew Cindy through my sister, Matilde, a close friend to Cindy. Over the last 30 years or so, each time I saw her, Cindy exuded an overwhelming sense of kindness and friendliness that made me feel good about the moment. The times that she visited my home, she was gracious and so very pleasant to all whom she met. I know first hand how generous Cindy was. Her generosity, however, went beyond the thoughtful gifts she gave her friends, my sister included, her generosity of soul and love that she so freely shared is what really made Cindy such a beautiful woman. My sister is devastated by the loss of one of her best friends. I will also miss Cindy dearly. She was in many ways part of our family, too.
My deepest condolences to Megan, Justin and Keith. May the beautiful memories that Cindy built with you during her life offer you the strength needed to fulfill her dreams for you. May God Bless you. With Love, Maritza Umpierre

I met Cindy when she was still in high school and would come into the Reseda office of Pacific Telephone with Keith to visit her father, Joe. She would sit and talk with me, and years later I had the privilege of being her instructor when she went through service rep training. Cindy was one of the nicest, kindest and smartest students I had the pleasure of teaching. My sympathy to Keith and all her family. Greg Ryan Studio City, Ca.

I worked with & for Cindy many, many years. I can still see her beautiful face & Amazing Smile. Everyone who worked with her wanted to do their best for Her, the company, and the customers. She always had such funny little quips but the one I will remember the most is "These buttons are SCREAMING" She will be remebered fondly & forever, a true loss. Suzi (Chavez) Weimer. Van Nuys CMG

Cindy's management teams may have been scattered 500 miles apart but she had a way of creating a true team environment. Cindy made each person on her team feel special even though each of us were diverse. Cindy always tried to find the positive in a negative situation. Cindy was a true asset to AT&T and to society. She is greatly missed!
