Deborah Walden Obituary

August 8, 1950 - November 23, 2024 Deborah Lynn "Deb" Walden, a cherished resident of Calabasas, California, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, in Woodland Hills, California. Born on August 12, 1950, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Deb was a beacon of kindness and compassion throughout her life.

Deb pursued her academic passions at the University of Florida, where she earned both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Sociology. Her academic journey was marked by a deep commitment to understanding and improving the human condition, a commitment she carried with her throughout her life.

After completing her studies, Deb moved to the West Coast, where she embraced the vibrant culture and natural beauty of California. It was here that she met and married the love of her life, W.G. "Snuffy" Walden. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Deb was a devoted mother to her two sons, Will and Connor, who were the pride and joy of her life. She cherished every moment spent with her family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Deb found joy in at the stable horseback riding and out in the mountains hiking, often accompanied by her beloved dogs. Her love for nature and animals was a testament to her gentle spirit and zest for life.

Deb's warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her kindness.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter in Deb's memory, honoring her lifelong love for animals, or Alzheimer's and Dementia Research https://www.alz.org/research

Deb Walden was a neighbor of mine we met when our first children were infants. i was a single mom and she would always reach out to me to share the journey of motherhood and we became dear friends. I Loved her as she pulled me out of my introvert mannerisms. That gave me support as a young mother, and it meant the world to me.
One of my heroes.
