Beloved daughter, wife and mother, Debra Ann Nesbit, 44, and beloved son and grandson and brother, Michael Nesbit, 13, died in an automobile accident on December 31, 2002 and they leave a grieving family. In their lifetime they surrounded their family and friends with extraordinary love and joy. Debra is survived by her devoted husband Scott Nesbit, sons Andrew, 15, and Graham, 10, of San Marino; her parents Irma and Morrie Jurkowitz of Montecito; her sister Jill and brother-in-law Neil Levinson and their daughter Paige of Montecito; her brother, David Frank, sister-in-law Rhonda and children Lindsay, Erin, Cameron, and Allison of Woodland Hills; and her father-in-law Don Nesbit of Lafayette, CA. Debra Nesbit grew up in Santa Barbara, graduated from Dos Pueblos High School class of 1976 and UCLA where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority and earned a B.A. and Masters degree as a special education teacher. After her marriage to Scott, they made their home in San Marino where she was a member of the Pasadena San Marino Junior League, a founder of The Circle of Huntington Hospital and active in her children's school activities in San Marino and at Chandler School and Harvard-Westlake School where Michael was a student. A caring, thoughtful son and grandson, Michael was an accomplished pianist, a water polo teammate, a Little League player and an avid fan of Mike Piazza. His special grin and abundant love will be greatly missed by his father, brothers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and school classmates. Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 5, in Glendale, at Temple Sinai, 1212 North Pacific Avenue, Glendale. The graveside services in Santa Barbara on Monday will be private.
