When I returned from military service suffering from bronchitis in 1968, Dr. Shapiro made a house call to treat me. He was old school in the best way.

Dr.Ed Shapiro was one of the first physicians I met as a Cedars of Lebanon intern in 1963.
He was a fine teacher and was quick to teach that these patients are people and not a disease entity.I never forgot this lesson during my medical practice.
He was a man with many other areas of brilliance but that's what remember most.
Thank you Ed.
