Elise Ebbert Obituary

July 31, 1936 - September 20, 2025 Elise passed away on Sept 20, 2025, in Santa Monica, CA.
Born and raised on the Westside of Los Angeles, she was the eldest of 5 children of Grace and Dr. William A. Peschelt. Elise was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister Linda "Tinsie" Taw. She is survived by her sister Diane "Pic" Peschelt, brothers Bill (Yvette) and John (Suzanne), and many nieces and nephews.
Elise graduated from Beverly Hills High School, where she first began her lifelong passion for athletics. She served as President of the Girls' Athletic Association (GAA), was a competitive swimmer, and spent her summers as a speed water skier and sailor at the Lake Arrowhead Yacht Club.
A proud USC alumna, Elise earned her degree in Dental Hygiene in 1957 before later pursuing her career as a talented interior designer. Deeply involved with the University of Southern California, she was both a member and President of Town and Gown Junior Auxiliary of LA, and she progressed to Chairman of the Women's Athletics Board, where she received three Helen of Troy Awards and was also a member of the Skull and Dagger Society.
Elise was married to Robert "Bob" Ebbert for 53 years until his passing in 2017. Together, they were members of the Los Angeles Country Club (since 1976), where they were both avid golfers while also enjoying his membership in the Jonathan Club, both downtown and at the Beach Club. She will be missed.
