Greg R. Ebbert, 62, of Utica, passed away on March 17, 2026 at home, surrounded by family. He was born in Meadville on January 24, 1964 to parents Clarence “Jake” R. Ebbert and Margaret A. Hamilton.

Greg married his wife Lisa M. Basile on November 12, 1988 and she survives at home.

Greg was a member of the New Lebanon Community Church and was a Lodge member of the Lake Myrtle Lodge. He loved to snow ski, water ski, and took pride in teaching others to ski. Greg competed with his son Cody around the world in the World Barefoot Water Ski Championships and participated in events in Germany, Texas, and Wisconsin. He ran Ebbert Excavating with his family for almost 50 years. Greg loved spending time with his family at Stoneboro Lake and taking vacations to anywhere warm. He especially loved to spend time with his grandson Crew.

In addition to his wife, Greg is survived by two sons, Cody (Joscelyn) Ebbert and Kyle Ebbert, both of Utica; one grandson, Crew Ebbert; one sister Ronda (Brett) Vath; a nephew, Tyler (Maggie) Vath and their daughter Shiloh; and a niece, Lexi Vath.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND BLACK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro where visitation will take place on Monday March 23rd from 4pm until the time of service at 7pm with Glenn Walker officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Crawford County.
