Emanuel Reznick Obituary

Reznick, "Nick" Emanuel (84)
Of Rolling Hills, California died Friday, August 9, 2002. Mr. Reznick was born January 4, 1918, near Kiev, Russia and immigrated with his parents to the United States when he was 5 years old. He graduated with honors from the University of California and received a Master's Degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago. He worked as a fund-raising consultant for schools, hospitals, and other non-profit institutions, becoming a leader in the field. He recieved the "Outstanding Professional Award" on National Philanthropy Day in Los Angeles in 1993. Nick enjoyed the outdoors. He organized the local chapter of the Sierra Club, was an avid conoeist and white-water enthusiast, and in 1971 co-founded Arizona River Runners, a commercial outfitter running trips on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Reznick, Rolling Hills; brother Bernard Reznick, Los Angeles; four children; Neva Alderson, Detroit, Michigan; Peter Reznick, Flagstaff, Arizona; Gregory Reznick, Pleasanton, California; Nicholas Reznick, Flagstaff, Arizona and seven grandchildren; Nicholas, Justin, Dylan, Mikhail, Ramsey, Alisa and Walker. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
