Frank Anderson Obituary

ANDERSON, Frank Edward (80) Born Jan. 8, 1926, Los Angeles; passed away Nov. 15, 2006, Newport Beach. Frank is survived by son Scott and daughter-in-law Megan; son Dale and daughter-in-law Lynne; son Brett and friend Kimberly Walker. Frank also leaves behind devoted wife Tia, her daughter Christa Vausbinder; daughter Laura Hockett and son-in-law Robert; son Mike Vausbinder and wife Kimberly. Frank delighted in his grandchildren: John and Ben Anderson; Blake, Ryan and Katherine Claire Anderson; Julie, Diana and Sara Hockett, and Madison and Mark Vausbinder.
Frank bravely enlisted in the Navy at the age of 17 and saved lives as a corpsman in the South Pacific during WWII. Involved for many years in the USC Alumni Association, Frank held a position on their Board of Governors. Frank, along with his sons, was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity at USC. A Certified Financial Planner, Frank was a Rotarian for over fifty years. He served his country, his family, his alma mater and the community at large. Frank was big in stature, big in heart, and he left an immeasurable footprint for all of us to admire. He follows his beloved wife, Joan Claire, who passed away in 1991. The last words he spoke were ones of thankfulness for the many blessings he's received; for the love of his wife, his children and grandchildren and for a life well lived. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov 28, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Newport Beach. Pacific View Mortuary (949) 644-2700
