George Okamoto Obituary

OKAMOTO, George "Joe" (81) Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, with his devoted family at his side. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Lillian; daughter Jan, sons Geody (Lynn), and Randy Okamoto; grandchildren Kacie, Andie, and Bryan Lew; Matthew, Daniel, Nikki and Grant Okamoto; and devoted dog and guardian, Amber. He is also survived by brothers Bill, Jack, and Richard Okamoto; sisters Tamaye (Raymond) Kobata, Grace (Jimmy) Fujikawa; in-laws Kiyoshi, Charlie (Violet), Satoru (Alice), Toshio, Tats (Tomeko), James (Sue), George (Myrtle), and Kazue Okuhara, Haruko Gakiya, Albert Chun, Doris (Warren) Hatamoto; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 29, 2006, 11:00 a.m., at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 W. 158th St., Gardena, CA. Burial service will be held Saturday, September 30, 11:00 a.m., at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, CA, Winter Terrace.
