Gerald Feifer Obituary

October 20, 1932 - September 20, 2025 Gerald Feifer died peacefully at home in Los Angeles on September 20, 2025 at 92 years old. Jerry, as he was widely known (or Yankel, as he was known as a child in Brooklyn) was born on October 20, 1932 in New York. He was the youngest of twelve children.

He worked for many years as a studio executive in domestic television for Fox Entertainment.

He founded his own production company, Vista Street Entertainment, through which he produced more than 50 films.

He made a living in the entertainment field, but he found his true passion in thrifting, and made the rounds to his favorite thrift stores across Los Angeles every weekend for decades. The thrill of the hunt was his weekly mission, and anyone who knew him well (or not even that well) was offered something from his collection. He had a zest for life and an authenticity that was unmatched.

He leaves behind his partner of 45 years, Dr. Myrna Silton-Goldstein, daughter Jana, sons Richard (Doris Chun), Michael (Caia), and step-son Justin Goldstein (Deborah Dragon); and grandchildren Coley, Emma, J, Julia and Austin. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings.

Donations in his memory can be made to National Council of Jewish Women.
