Helen IGE Obituary

IGE, Helen Umeko (81) Departed peacefully on October 26, 2012 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Sadakazu and Matsue Ohishi, and her brothers Edward and Ken. Beloved wife of Tsutomu Ige for 52 years; mother of Natalie (Ray) Muldaur; sister of Dr. Tan Ohishi of Yokohama, Japan; sister-in-law of Ken (Shirley) Ige; aunt of Linda (Peter) Lee, Emi (Jean) Chogyoji, Cathy (Norman) Murphy, Pauline (Gary) Konigsberg, Carole (Bill) Peterson, Dennis Ige, David (Marcque) Ige, Michael Ige, Ken (Lola) Ohishi Jr., Ronald (Guille) Konya; cousin of Jimmy (Alice) Ohishi. Also survived by many grand-nieces and nephews. In accordance with Mrs. Ige's wishes, no funeral services will be held. A private service of committal will be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills. It was Mrs. Ige's greatest wish that her friends and family remember her as the cheerful, caring, and friendly person she was.In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations instead be made to a charitable organization of your choice. www.fukuimortuary.com (213) 626-0441
