Helen Roswell Maler

1926 - 2023

Helen Maler Obituary

October 9, 1926 - December 29, 2023 Helen was a native of Los Angeles, where she met and was married to her beloved husband Art for over 64 years. She was a loving mother to Steven who predeceased her in 1994 and Diane Maler (Shon), mother-in-law of Kim Margolin, avid grandmother of Jaclyn Ryan (David) and Paul Maler, uber-avid great grandma of Noah, Madeline and Julia Ryan, sister and sister-in-law of Irving and Patricia Roswell, sister-in-law and brother-in-law of Annette and Robert Swezey, Aunt Helen to her nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces and great-great-niece, and proud momma and provider of cauliflower to her favorite dog ever, Rafi.
Helen's elegance was unmatched, but her inner beauty was even greater. Helen was a vital glue bonding her family, friends, neighbors, and business associates. A graduate of Venice High and UCLA, Helen loved the beach and all things athletic from tennis to skiing and fishing. Helen was stylish and progressive, and always up for an adventure, going along for the ride with unpredictable Art. Helen was her own person: forthright, and always willing to see the humor in what life rolls out.
