Herbert Galperson Obituary

Herbert I. Galperson was born on March 6, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York. Herb passed away on May 24, 2016 after a battle with lung cancer. He was joyfully married for forty-nine years to the love of his life, Judy. He was a proud father to his two sons David (Laura) and Rob (Jennifer) and is survived by his brother Julian (Jacqueline). Herb was the most doting grandfather ever to Lindsay, Brady, Jonah, and Brandon and took special pride in spoiling them. Herb was a Workers Compensation attorney and Partner at Rose, Klein, and Marias, for 50+ years. Herb loved spending time with his family, UCLA sports, the San Francisco Giants and football. Herb will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Services will be held on Thursday on May 26th at 11:00 AM at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tower Cancer Research Foundation, Jewish Vocational Services Scholarship Fund or Sinai Akiba Academy.

Herb was my attorney until he retired. He was my strongest advocate and I will always appreciate all he did for me.

At one point early on I was considering leaving him and the three attorneys I spoke with all had to admit in our conversations that he was the best work comp atty. The last one called Herb "the light of the industry".
I knew then I should be grateful.
Thanks Herb! God Bless You!

Herb was a one of a kind. He was one of the kindest but toughest lawyers I knew. He always gave me grief about USC as he was a true Bruin. However we shared our love for the Giants and those recent 3 World Series wins!
RIP and I know you are looking down on your family from heaven.

When Rob Vines started his Hall of Fame Herb became a charter member. He was a Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays-a five tool player. After I retired he was one who I missed seeing in Pomona. Herb was an old school gentleman, whose word was his bond.
I used to kid him about becoming an elder statesman, but he always had a sense of humor, which I always appreciated.
May God grant him eternal rest and comfort his family.
