Ira M. Handelman

January 14, 1935 - December 5, 2015 Ira M. Handelman was born in New York City January 14, 1935 to Rose and Saul Handelman. He died on December 5, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at his home. He grew up in New York, graduated high school, served in the Army and then moved to California where he met and married Judy Ross. They lived in Los Alamitos for 45 years and in 2005 they retired to Indio, California. Ira spent many years in the fashion and flooring industry - a natural born salesman. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He loved cruises, gambling, storytelling, sports and he shared those loves with his family and friends throughout the years. Besides Judy, his children and grandchildren, his dogs were the loves of his life. He is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Stacy, son Brad, his grandchildren Ethan, Elise, Sam and Nate and his dog Charlie. Services will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 2 pm, Mount Sinai Parks and Mortuaries~ Los Angeles
