Irving Cherniack Obituary

CHERNIACK, Irving Age 82, died on Wednesday, July 16, 2008. He was born on December 16, 1925, in Los Angeles, CA. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Anita, daughters Julie Kotovsky, Lori Treseder (Kenny), and his adoring four grandchildren, Sammy, Ezra, Talia, and Louie. He was a wonderful man - kind, warm, and patient - and will be missed by those that knew him. Curious about everything, he could never pass a written text without stopping to read it. He was generous with his time and attention, and had a wonderfully dry sense of humor. Though an engineer by trade, he enjoyed playing the piano, learning new languages, and teaching science to children. Given his easygoing nature and calm spirit - he passed just as he had lived - with a sweet grace we should all be so lucky to have. Memorial Donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association (800) 272-3900.
